Senior Living Centers/Medical Professional Liability Insurance in Dallas, TX

Insurance For Medical Professionals

Our agency has been writing insurance for medical professionals since our agency inception in 1984. As an independent agent, we are not limited to one underwriting guideline, but represent a wide range of insurance companies and insurance brokers that can insure most any medical professional or healthcare service organization.

Not only do we write insurance for doctor and dental offices, clinics, veterinarians, home health care agencies, hospices, nurse staffing companies but we also write insurance for assisted living facilities, nursing homes and group homes. Most medical professionals should consider the following lines of insurance to properly protect their business assets:
  1. General Liability Insurance
Provides coverage and defense costs for Bodily Injury (slips and falls), Property Damage, Personal Injury and Advertising Injury.

  2. Professional Liability - sometimes known as Medical Malpractice insurance
Provides coverage and defense costs for medical incidents involving rendering or failure to render professional services.

  3. Business Auto Policy
Coverage for single commercial auto or fleet of autos used by healthcare professional employees. Non Owned and Hired car coverage should also be included.

  4. Umbrella or Excess Liability
Provides increased liability limit above the limits of the primary General Liability, Auto Liability, Employers Liability or Professional Liability.

  5. Workers Compensation
Provides medical, disability, and death benefits for employees injured on the job. Also includes Part II of the policy, Employers Liability.

  6. Property Insurance
Coverage for buildings, business personal property including medical equipment and supplies.  Property Insurance policies can also include Business Interruption Insurance which provides Business Income while your property is being rebuilt after a disaster such as a fire or tornado.

  7. Crime insurance
Coverage for employee dishonesty, forgery, theft, disappearance or destruction of money or securities.

  8. Directors and Officers Liability
Coverage and defense of officers and directors of your organization.

  9. Employment Practices Liability
Protects and defends the employers from financial loss due to lawsuit brought by employees who allege age discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, etc.

  10. Resident Trust Bond (formerly known as Patient Trust Bond)
A resident trust bond is required of nursing homes or assisted living facilities who handle patient funds. The patient trust bond protects those under care by assuring that facilities abide by all laws and do not divert patient funds for other uses.
