Pollution Liability Insurance
Pollution Liability Insurance is first-party coverage for contamination of insured property either by external or on-site sources. Additional coverage is designed to protect from third party claims for damages by “Pollution Conditions” arising from your covered operations during the policy period. Extra coverage may be added to include your completed operations.
A comprehensive policy should cover:
• Contractor’s pollution Liability- Covers what the insured is legally obligated to pay as damages because of bodily injury, property damage, or cleanup costs caused by a pollution condition. Read this blog to learn more about Contractor's Pollution Liability.
• Transportation pollution Liability- Covers damages because of bodily injury, property damage, or cleanup costs resulting from transportation pollution condition
• Bodily Injury
• Property Damage
• Natural resource damage and clean-up costs
• Legal Defense cost
• Crisis Management and Emergency Response Cost
Optional Coverage:
• Mold Coverage
• Transportation Pollution Coverage- Blanket
• Non-Owned Disposal Site Liability- Covers damages because of bodily injury, property damage, or cleanup costs resulting from a pollution condition to which this insurance applies, originating at, on or under, or migrating from a covered “non-owned disposal site”
